Facebook Is Changing

Some changes are being made to Facebook that will help promote your business page and we’re here to help you navigate your way through this change! There will be a new Facebook recommendations and reviews system that will help more people connect with local businesses as well as interact with them easier. According to Alex Himel, Facebook’s VP of Local, over 1.6 billion people around the world are connected to a small business on Facebook! The new system will make this connection grow even more. We’re here to explain exactly how to get started using those changes. Follow the steps below to verify your business page.

1. To verify your page when not using Facebook Business Manager: 

2. Click Settings at the top of your page

3. From General, click Page Verification

4. Click verify this Page, then click Get Started

5. Enter a publicly listed phone number for your business, your country and language

6. Click Call Me Now to allow Facebook to call you with a verification code

7. Enter the 4-digit verification code and click Continue

To verify your page while using Facebook Business Manager: 

1. Click Settings at the top of your page

2. Click General

3. Go to Page Visibility, then click Edit

4. Click Verify this Page, then click Get Started

5. Enter a publicly-listed phone number for your business, your country and language

6. Click Call Me Now to allow Facebook to call you with a verification code

7. Enter the 4-digit verification code and click Continue

Once you’re verified, you’ll be able to reach more customers through the use of the Recommendations feature. Posting photos about your business and the use of tags will also be available for customers. Don’t worry, the old reviews will still be there! The new system will provide the recommendations options integrated within the reviews so all the previous reviews will be listed in the same section; Reviews/Recommendations. It’s been shown that an increasing number of people are using this platform. They’re likely to be more influenced as Facebook shows them the recommendations by their closest friends. On top of that, your score will appear in places that customers are likely to look in order to make their decisions, such as maps.
